Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia

The Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia, which is part of the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia, unites Ukrainian youth who, for various reasons, temporarily or permanently reside in Estonia. After all, connecting with those who share the same roots, origin, history, culture, and traditions provides great support and enrichment in different moments of life.

The Ukrainian Youth Association was founded in 1925. UYA operates in more than 10 countries worldwide, bringing together Ukrainians in the diaspora.

100th Anniversary: In 2025, the Ukrainian Youth Association (UYA) celebrates its centennial, reaffirming the importance and relevance of the organization in the modern world. The core principles of UYA's work are the education of children and youth, the preservation of Ukrainian culture, traditions, and national identity.

Now, more than ever, our mission is crucial, as every conscious UYA member and Ukrainian must contribute to bringing our shared victory over the enemy closer!

In the fall of 2024, the Ukrainian Sunday School under the Ukrainian Youth Association (UYA) in Estonia was established with the goal of creating a modern and engaging space for children and youth aged 4 to 18.

THE PRIMARY GOAL OF THE UYA SCHOOL IS TO TEACH THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE AND PRESERVE UKRAINIAN CULTURE.

The school's lessons aim to instill in children:

  • Love and respect for Ukraine, knowledge of its history, culture, and traditions;
  • A thirst for knowledge, self-discipline, and initiative to develop a flexible and sharp mind, as well as critical thinking skills;
  • Strong inner values, faith, optimism, and resilience that will support them throughout their adult lives;
  • Love for others: people, animals, and nature;
  • Willpower and emotional strength, as a person with a kind and strong will can achieve worthy goals and see tasks through to completion;
  • Physical fitness and health, so that every young Ukrainian has a strong body and spirit;
  • Diligence and creativity, as these bring great moral satisfaction, a sense of personal and national dignity, and usefulness.

We invite children to join our school – we are waiting for your little ones and young learners!

At the beginning of 2023, the Ukrainian song and dance ensemble "Volya" was founded under the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia!

The ensemble's goal is to educate and nurture the younger generation through choreography, vocal, and stage arts.

By learning the Ukrainian language through song and dance, we preserve, support, and promote Ukrainian culture!

Additionally, the ensemble aims to strengthen intercultural relations with Estonia by collaborating with Estonian groups, facilitating the integration of our children into the local culture.
