Treats age-old traditions of the Ukrainian people with care, preserves them and passes them on to future generations. Ukrainians abroad do not lose their roots, love Ukraine and are happy to communicate in their native language.

International festivals of creativity and Ukrainian culture in Estonia are an ideal platform for popularising Ukrainian creativity, getting acquainted with world cultural achievements, building cultural contacts and strengthening friendships, cooperating and mutual understanding between Ukrainians from different countries, and developing Ukrainian national culture abroad.

The Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia has been organising the International Festival of Children's and Youth Creativity Flowers of Ukraine since 2001 and the Festival of Creativity Northern Star since 2002.

Its creative journey starts in the fall of 2002 with the active support of societies that are part of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia.

According to the festival's rules, adults from Ukrainian societies of Estonia and other countries who have indicated their will to participate can do so solo and as a creative team.

The festival is held every two years, the previous one took place on November 6, 2022. 

For the participants of the festival, especially the arriving guests, the festival organiser arranges a tour of the famous places of Estonia or Tallinn, preliminary meetings, joint rehearsals, etc.

Over the past 20 years, art groups from Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries have participated in the Northern Star festival. Famous creative personalities from Ukraine, such as Anna Kurylenko (actress and singer of the Cherkasy Regional Drama Theater), Svyatoslav Boyko (frontman of the band Shirokyi Lan) and others, participated in the final concert.
