Creative workshops in Tallinn 2024
Hartuis!
Developing creative skills and making wonderful things while speaking Ukrainian in Tallinn!
The wonderful “Creative Workshop” of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia school invites children to workshops!
The project includes classes in programming, wool felting, drawing, modelling and illustration for children of different ages and levels.
The workshops are free, but the number of children in each group is limited, so please register. Registration for each class will be announced on SUM’s social media and in the Telegram group.

Programming:
Tutor – programmer from Volyn and member of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia, Mykyta Smetanin.
Classes take place at Madara 14, Tallinn
- 09.06.2024 13:00 (ages 7–11) Programming algorithms (laptop NOT required).
- 23.06.2024 13:00 (ages 12–14) Introduction to programming (laptop REQUIRED).
- 30.06.2024 13:00 (ages 15–16) Introduction to programming (laptop REQUIRED).
- 20.07.2024 11:00 (ages 17–19) Introduction to programming. Web development basics (laptop REQUIRED).
- 04.08.2024 13:00 – for children who have already done some programming and know the basics. Web applications, the JavaScript programming language (laptop REQUIRED).
Visual arts:
Tutor – illustrator and artist from Mariupol, member of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia, Kristina Dolhikh.
- 13.07.2024 11:00 – (ages 7–9) “Reading a fairy tale and modelling fairy-tale characters”
- 27.07.2024 11:00 – (ages 9–13) “Learning about interesting animals living in Ukraine and modelling them”
- 03.08.2024 11:00 – (ages 15–19) “Art therapy”
- 10.08.2024 11:00 – (ages 14–15) “Beadwork”
- 18.08.2024 13:00 – workshop for children attending art school, courses or extra drawing lessons: “Drawing an illustration”.
Wool felting:
Tutor – craftswoman from Kharkiv, member of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia, Inna Felt.
- 22.06.2024 11:00 – (ages 10–12) “Dry felting”. Girls – a “Butterfly on a hairpin” hair accessory. Boys – a “Butterfly” bow tie.
- 29.06.2024 11:00 – (ages 13–15) “Dry and wet felting”
Theme: “Sea Stones” jewellery box
- 14.07.2024 13:00 – (ages 7–8) “Dry felting”. Making a toy keyring.
- 21.07.2024 13:00 – (ages 8–10) “Wet felting”. Making “sea pebble” toys.
- 17.08.2024 11:00 – (ages 16–19) “Wet felting”. Making a mouse pad or a home decoration – a coaster for a hot cup.
After each class, children will be treated to juice, snacks and a chat.
Our team is getting ready and looking forward to meeting you!
As part of this project we are also raising money to repair a vehicle for our defenders. If you can donate, we will be glad of any amount; you will find a donation box in the class room.
