Reading in Ukrainian

Reading in Ukrainian

Dear compatriots – both those who have arrived in Estonia in recent days and those who have lived here longer! We are pleased to announce that in a week the Foreign Literature Department of Tallinn Central Library, Liivalaia 40, Tallinn, will be able to offer readers Ukrainian-language literature. Part of the collection was donated by the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia – children’s books, literary anthologies, books on Ukrainian history and more.

The collection will be expanded according to readers’ requests. So we invite our newly arrived compatriots – parents, teachers and pupils who could visit the library on their own – you are very welcome!!!

For your information, here are the conditions and services the library now offers, especially for our refugees. All Ukrainian war refugees can, on presenting an identity document, free of charge:

  • get a library card;
  • use a computer and Wi-Fi;
  • print, scan and copy documents needed for dealing with state institutions;
  • watch the news; read newspapers and magazines (in Estonian, Russian, English and other languages);
  • borrow publications in various languages;
