We invite all Ukrainians in Estonia to the opening of the unique exhibition “Resilient Expression: Ukrainian Artists in Estonia”, taking place at the museum Vabamu next Friday!
We are sincerely proud that representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia became an important part of the documentary project “Resilient Expression: Ukrainian Artists in Estonia”, which tells of the strength of Ukrainian culture, creativity and spirit.
This series of short documentary videos was created by Stanford University graduate and Fulbright researcher Parker Watt, with whom we worked closely throughout the year. We are glad that we could help Parker get to know the richness and diversity of Ukrainian cultural life in Estonia more deeply and present this important work to a wide audience!
The following organisations and artists took part in the project:
17 October at 16:00
Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom, address: Toompea 8b
In this series of short films, Parker tells the stories of Ukrainian artists and creative groups who preserve their identity through art, share their culture and build connections with Estonian society.
Each video is about an individual Ukrainian artist or art group sharing their experience of art as a means of healing and of continuing their culture here in Estonia.
At 16:00 there will be a premiere screening of the documentary series created by Parker Watt, followed by light refreshments and conversation in a warm atmosphere. The event is free for everyone with prior registration.
Language: Ukrainian and English.
We are glad to be part of this important project and invite you to share this moment with us – our voice, our culture and our resilience resound loudly and confidently in Estonia!
