Three awards for the Volya ensemble at the “Flower of Slobozhanshchyna” competition

The Ukrainian Song and Dance Ensemble Volya, which operates under the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia (SUM), took part in the 3rd All-Ukrainian Folk Choreography Competition “Flower of Slobozhanshchyna”, organised by the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture.

Results in the “Folk stage dance” category:

• junior group (ages 6–8) — 2nd degree laureates;
• middle group (ages 11–13) — 1st degree laureates;
• senior group (ages 14–16) — 2nd degree laureates.

The ensemble’s artistic director is Anastasiia Kozachok. As the ensemble says, behind every award are hours of rehearsals, hard work and the wish to preserve and share Ukrainian culture far from home. The ensemble thanks the organisers and jury, as well as the dancers’ parents for their support.
