Ukrainian and Lithuanian cultures met in Estonia: Volya and Aukštaitija

The Ukrainian Song and Dance Ensemble Volya (artistic director Anastasiia Kozachok) met the Song and Dance Ensemble Aukštaitija of the Švenčionys Cultural Centre, Lithuania (artistic directors Jolanta Razmienė and Agnė Paulavičienė), in Estonia.

The ensembles held a joint rehearsal and workshop on the basic movements of Ukrainian folk dance and Lithuanian folklore dances.

For children and young people it was a chance to get to know each other, learn more about each other’s cultures and make new friends. Volya believes that such meetings strengthen the friendship between ensembles, countries and people.
