Tallinn hosts the international children's and youth arts festival "Flowers of Ukraine 2026"

On 30 May, Mustamäe Cultural Centre Kaja in Tallinn hosted the international children's and youth arts festival "Flowers of Ukraine 2026" (Ukraina Lilled 2026). It was organised by the Ukrainian Youth Association in Estonia (CYM), a member organisation of the Association.

This year the festival brought together children and young people aged 5 to 21 from different parts of Estonia. The programme included solo, ensemble and choral singing, dance performances and recitation, and ended with a joint finale by all participants.

Participants and guests were welcomed by Liubov Laur, member of the board of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia, and Father Roman Kikh, pastor of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Tallinn.

Pupils of the CYM weekend school also performed in the recitation category, presenting humorous Ukrainian verse. They were prepared by their Ukrainian language and literature teacher, Hanna Kiriienko.

The project was supported by the Estonian Ministry of Culture, the Integration Foundation and the City of Tallinn.
