Vyshyvanka Day spent weaving camouflage nets

On 19 May 2022, Vyshyvanka (Embroidered Shirt) Day, members of Tallinn's Ukrainian community combined the celebration with a useful cause – weaving camouflage nets for the Ukrainian army at the premises of the non-profit Slava Ukraini.

The embroidered shirts and Ukrainian songs sung during the work moved the hosts, while a documentary film crew happened to be filming the process. Inspired by the atmosphere, the women decided to meet every Thursday to continue the work.

We thank all our compatriots who give their time and hearts to support Ukraine.
