Events for Ukraine's Independence Day

Dear friends!

On 24 August a number of events will take place in Estonia to mark Ukraine's Independence Day

On this day the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia has prepared a special Independence Day screening: Yaroslav the Wise – Father-in-Law of Europe, made this year!

The film's director Olesia Nohina will attend the screening in Tallinn in person, and you will be able to talk with her in a friendly atmosphere.

The screening is part of the "Culture vs War" marathon run worldwide by our partner, the Watch Ukrainian Association!

Besides the screening, we have prepared a festive lottery – any of you could win valuable gifts.

At the start of the event, Ukrainian artists will perform for you: Kateryna Chalova, Zinaida Vinchura and the band "Dzherelo".

You can also hear these wonderful performers after the screening at 18:00 at SLAVA Ukraina restoran & kohvik, which will treat you to a festive dinner!

Ukrainian chefs have prepared a special festive menu for you:

1. Chicken Kyiv + varenyky with cherries – 20 euros
2. Deruny + holubtsi + syrnyky – 25 euros

So you can enjoy real Ukrainian food and Ukrainian songs. And most importantly – spend time in a warm, friendly atmosphere with Estonian and Ukrainian friends and celebrate the most important holiday for Ukrainians – the day our country's sovereignty was restored!

• 18:00 – festive dinner and a performance by the duo Kateryna Chalova and Zinaida Vinchura and the band "Dzherelo" at the Slava Ukraini restaurant, Tallinn, Vana-Kalamaja 2
