For the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, we invite everyone to an excursion to the Open Air Museum and a “Victory Angel” workshop at the museum!
Together with our guide Tetyana Gorbunova we will learn about peasant life in northern, western and eastern Estonia and on the islands, see how the life of the Estonian people changed over 200 years and how this was reflected in their homes, traditions and clothing. We will also visit the museum’s school and shop, and drop in on the Seto people and Old Believers who still live on Estonian soil.
The Victory Angels, together with warm wishes written by the workshop participants, will be passed on to Ukrainian soldiers at the front with the help of the craftswoman (and at your wish).
After the workshop you can also visit the museum exhibition “The World of a Peasant Child”, which aims to draw today’s children away from the virtual world and teach them about ecological thinking.
Admission to the museum is free that day; the excursion costs 7 euros for adults, 5 euros for children (under 12), adult + child – 10 euros; the workshop is free.
Registration is required by 28.09 at 18:00 via this link.
