Idea competition for the Independence Day of Ukraine

We invite you to participate in the idea competition dedicated to Ukraine's Independence Day!

The Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia, together with the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Society PROSVITA and the Ukrainian Art Studio "Mriya" "Ukraina Kunstide Stuudio Mrija MTÜ," is delighted to invite you to participate in an idea competition dedicated to celebrating Ukraine's Independence Day on August 24! We are looking for the best and most creative ideas that will help not only celebrate the holiday but also promote cultural dialogue between Ukraine and Estonia!

The top 5 ideas will receive informational support and funding of up to 100 euros for project implementation!

What could it be?

A master class, a themed tour, a chalk drawing contest, a group sing-along, a run, a flash mob, a picnic, a creative evening – anything for adults and children that meets the following criteria.

Who can participate:

  • All Ukrainians living in Estonia, regardless of age and profession.
  • Friends of Ukraine who want to support and celebrate Ukrainian independence.
  • Any city or locality in Estonia.

Selection criteria:

  • Creativity: Your idea should be original and interesting.
  • Relevance: The idea should correspond to the theme of celebrating Ukraine's Independence Day and reflect love for Ukraine, respect for its history, culture, and people.
  • Community engagement: The project should involve as many members of the Ukrainian community in Estonia as possible and also interest Estonians.
  • Feasibility: The idea should be achievable within the provided financial support, theme, and implementation deadlines.
  • Impact: The idea should have a positive impact on Ukraine's image and support cultural dialogue between Ukraine and Estonia.
  • Transparency: Clearly defined goals, objectives, and expected results of the project.
  • Communication: Availability of a communication strategy to inform the public about the project's progress and results.

We prefer ideas that also meet the following (non-mandatory) criteria:

  • Long-term impact: The idea should have the potential for lasting impact and the possibility of continuation after the project's completion.
  • Scalability: The idea has the potential for expansion and implementation in other communities or cities.
  • Innovation: The use of new approaches, technologies, or methods for project implementation is welcomed!

Please note that financial support of up to 100 euros is provided to cover everything necessary for the implementation of one idea (materials for master classes, printing, stationery, photography, etc.) but cannot be paid as salaries or rewards.

Winners will also receive free consultations on idea implementation and informational support from the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram).
