60 Ukrainian children from Paide enjoy a summer camp by the sea

On 26 and 27 June 2024, 60 Ukrainian children from Paide spent two days at a summer camp by the sea at the Männisalu holiday centre in Võsu, Lääne-Viru County. The programme was packed: games and relay races, a landscape painting workshop, paper crafts, dancing, volleyball and football, and a festive disco in the evening. The children came home happy and said with one voice: “We want more!”

The Ukrainian community in Paide warmly thanks Anneli Suits, director of the Paide Art School, who organised and coordinated the trip and supported the children and parents throughout. The trip’s sponsor, Lions Club Paide Bastion, gave the children stationery and sports equipment to take to school in September. Parents also thanked Tetiana Poniatenko and Olena Mukhina of the Ukrainian community “Spogad”.
