
Riigikogu’s Estonia–Ukraine Parliamentary Group Recognised the Association on Its 20th Anniversary

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia, its Chairman of the Board, Volodymyr Palamar, received an official letter of appreciation from the Estonia–Ukraine Parliamentary Group of the Riigikogu.
The document highly commends the Association’s long-standing activities in the fields of education, non-formal education, creative work, music, art and performing arts. It emphasises that this consistent work enriches Estonian culture and contributes to the development of Estonian society.
The letter of appreciation states:
“Under your leadership and coordination, the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia has energetically and consistently worked to develop education, non-formal education, creative activities, music, art and performing arts in our country, thereby enriching Estonian culture and society.”
The Estonia–Ukraine Parliamentary Group also expressed its gratitude for the Association’s significant contribution to preserving the national identity of Ukrainians living in Estonia and strengthening the cohesion of Estonian society.
The preservation of the Ukrainian language, culture and traditions, support for creative groups and educational initiatives, and promotion of the work of Ukrainian civic organisations have remained important areas of the Association’s activities for many years. At the same time, this work contributes to intercultural dialogue, mutual respect and the active participation of Ukrainians in Estonian society.
“We congratulate you on the 20th anniversary of the Association and wish you wise perseverance!” the letter states.
This official recognition was an important acknowledgement of the contribution made by the Association and its member organisations to the development of the Ukrainian community, Estonia’s cultural diversity and the strengthening of relations between Ukraine and Estonia.
The document was signed on behalf of the Estonia–Ukraine Parliamentary Group by Johannes Kert, Member of the Riigikogu and Lieutenant General (retired).
