The Association joins the development of a new funding model for national minority cultural societies

On 22 October 2026, the Integration Foundation (Integratsiooni Sihtasutus) held a workshop for representatives of national minority cultural societies at Hestia Hotel Europa in Tallinn. The Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia was represented by Chairman of the Board Volodymyr Palamar.

The workshop continued the process that began on 30 September at the meeting of the National Minorities Culture Council at the Ministry of Culture, where the Association was represented by Board member Liubov Laur and the company Brand Manual presented the results of a study on the funding model for national minority cultural societies.

Participants worked in small groups to jointly develop possible funding models for the new funding period. The organisers stressed that solutions must take real constraints into account — time, money, rules, technology and people — and that the societies' own experience is essential for this work. The next workshop will take place on 12 November.

The Association will continue to take part in this work and represent the interests of Ukrainian organisations. Member organisations are welcome to send their proposals and questions on funding to info@ukraine.ee — we will take them into account in further discussions and at the Association's general meeting.

On 11 November, the Integration Foundation is also holding its integration conference. More information and registration: integratsioon.ee/konverents.
