Association chairman attends CYM World Congress in the USA

In November 2022, the Association's chairman Volodymyr Palamar made a working visit to the United States at the invitation of the Ukrainian Youth Association World Executive (CYM Global). The 20th anniversary CYM World Congress brought together delegates from Portugal, Spain, Germany, Australia, Canada, Argentina, Ukraine and Estonia.

The visit coincided with the US midterm elections. "We saw with our own eyes how firm and unwavering the support for Ukraine is during the Ukrainian Days organised by the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America," said Volodymyr Palamar.

Meetings were held with the staff of Congressman Donald M. Payne Jr. and of Senator Bob Menendez, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The American politicians described Estonia as a reliable partner and praised the help Estonia gives to Ukrainians.

The Ukrainian Days also included a rally at the Holodomor memorial attended by leaders of Ukrainian communities from New York, Chicago, Washington and New Jersey, as well as Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation in the USA.
