
On 3 August 2026, Volodymyr Palamar, Adviser to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Estonia, held a working meeting with representatives of the Office of the Gender Equality and Equal Treatment Commissioner of Estonia.
The meeting was attended by:
Christian Veske — Gender Equality and Equal Treatment Commissioner of Estonia;
Mariia Khrapunenko — Adviser at the Commissioner’s Office.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues concerning the protection of the rights of Ukrainian citizens residing in the Republic of Estonia. Particular attention was paid to preventing discrimination, ensuring equal treatment, and identifying possible mechanisms for cooperation between the Ukrainian community and Estonian state institutions.
The parties also considered opportunities for cooperation in the field of human rights protection, information exchange, and the implementation of joint awareness-raising and educational initiatives.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop their cooperation and maintain an ongoing working dialogue.
