New Ukrainian comedy “Relatives” – 18 October at Kino Artis

The Ukrainian Film Club in Estonia invites you to a screening of the new Ukrainian comedy “Relatives” (Rodychi, 2026), directed by Yevhen Taller.

The will hasn’t even been written yet, but the battle for the inheritance has already begun.

In a village near Kyiv, grandma Nadia is celebrating her 80th birthday. The birthday girl is full of life and enjoying the party, while her relatives are already planning how to divide the future inheritance – her house. Her grandson gives her a new sofa, her son brings a gravestone, her daughter-in-law secretly plots to take over the house, and the whole village watches with great interest to see who will outsmart whom. Grandma Nadia herself seems to enjoy the chaos more than anyone.

“Relatives” is a warm and funny story about family, greed, love and the complicated relationships between the people closest to us. Because in the end, it is not the garden or the house that holds a family together, but the family itself.
