The festival "Vyshyvanka Unites – Rahvustikand ühendab" smART fest 2026 on the ETV+ programme "Gorizont"

The PR Director of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia, Inna Hordiienko, and mental health specialist and smART Talks & Gallery coordinator Natalka Shevchenko appeared on Estonian public television to invite residents and visitors of Estonia to the festival "Vyshyvanka Unites – Rahvustikand ühendab" smART fest 2026.

On air they talked about the new smART fest format – a festival that combines tradition, contemporary art, creativity, cultural dialogue and important social themes. That is why this year the festival is opening new spaces for music, art, workshops, smART Talks, children's activities, the fair and an evening programme.

They also presented the new smART Gallery and smART Talks areas, where guests can enjoy exhibitions, lectures and lively discussions on important topics. The studio guests also spoke about the festival's lecture programme, which this year will be held in three languages to make the festival even more open and accessible to different audiences.

This year, the new smART Gallery space will present an exhibition by Estonian artist with Ukrainian roots Yaryna Ilo.

In the studio, they also thanked the Estonian Open Air Museum, where the festival was held for three years in a row.

That is where the atmosphere of "Vyshyvanka Unites" was born. But this year the festival team decided to add more contemporary art and new formats, so the new venue is Kultuurikatel – one of the most modern cultural spaces in Tallinn.

They also talked about the festival's charity component – the "Yedynozbir" fundraiser.

1 euro from every ticket sold will go to a charity fundraiser for Ukraine.

And of course, they talked about vyshyvankas.

Embroidered shirts are very welcome at the festival but are not a compulsory dress code. If you don't have one yet, you can buy one at the festival fair, where Ukrainian brands and artisans will be presenting their work.

We thank ETV+ for its attention to Ukrainian culture and its support for the Ukrainian community in Estonia.

See you on 24 May at Kultuurikatel at smART fest 2026!
