Happy Day of Unity of Ukraine!

Happy Day of Unity of Ukraine!

Dear Ukrainians!

The Association congratulates you all on the Day of Unity – a day that for all Ukrainians is a symbol of unity and the strengthening of national identity and statehood!

Today the Day of Unity has special meaning for all of us: having proclaimed the unification of Ukrainian lands more than a century ago, Ukrainians are now continuing the fight for their independence and integrity.

Because of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we have ended up on different continents, in different countries of the world. But wherever we are, we are united in our determination to remain Ukrainian; despite the thousands of kilometres separating us from our homeland, we are with Ukraine and with one another with all our hearts, and we will let no one divide us.

The war with Russia proves that for Ukrainians the idea of unity has been and remains a fundamental national value and one of the key elements of our identity! We are grateful to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who guarantee that a united Ukraine will stand. The temporarily occupied territories will certainly be liberated from the Russian invaders, because the goal of today's struggle is the victory of a united Ukraine!

But we must remind the whole world and its leaders that we will never give our land to anyone, despite the million discussions now under way about the terms of a "ceasefire" or "ending the war".

So today we invite you to join the campaign "I am from Ukraine. Ukraine is one", initiated by the Strichka community, to show the world and each other that Ukrainians are always united, and that every corner of Ukraine, including the occupied cities, was, is and will be part of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine and to all the heroes who gave their lives for the unity of Ukraine.

We look forward to seeing you outside the Russian embassy in Tallinn (Pikk tn 19) on 22 January at 16:00.
