A protest outside the Russian embassy.
On 10 October 2022, Ukrainians gathered outside the Russian embassy in Tallinn in response to the terrorist state’s massive missile strikes on Ukraine! Representatives of various organisations of the Ukrainian diaspora in Estonia expressed their solidarity with the Ukrainian people and called on the international community to finally recognise Russia as a terrorist state and to condemn the horrific crimes of the Russians and the genocide of the Ukrainian people!
The chairman of the Association, Vladimir Palamar, addressed the protesters: “We want to show solidarity with our whole nation and condemn the actions of a terrorist state that every day destroys our people and the infrastructure of our cities, and in this way wants to force Ukraine to sit at the negotiating table with a terrorist president. But that will never happen – Ukraine will not kneel and will not negotiate with a murderer. We are forced to defend ourselves and will continue to resist. The entire civilised world has condemned Russia’s terrorist acts today, and this gives us the strength not to give up and to be confident in our victory.”
Representatives of the Belarusian diaspora in Estonia also joined the rally, expressing support for our people and condemning the actions of the aggressor state. The action ended with everyone singing together the song now known and sung all over the world – “Oi u luzi chervona kalyna”.
