The new year began with good news and congratulations for the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia!
This week the Association team got together to review last year and discuss plans for this year! Part of the time was devoted to discussing major projects carried out in cooperation with other partner organisations.
In particular, last year it was a great pleasure to join the project Strichka – a community that unites active Ukrainians around the world for joint action and support for Ukraine and its citizens abroad. Over six months of cooperation, the Association took part in the following Strichka campaigns:
It was very valuable and extremely important for us to support all these initiatives, because first and foremost they are aimed at helping Ukraine and defending our country's interests internationally! Secondly, Strichka provides a platform for launching and supporting the social and cultural initiatives of Ukrainians abroad, which fits the Association's mission! And thirdly, this platform creates conditions for Ukrainians in different countries to share experience and find like-minded people.
So receiving a gift from Strichka at the start of the year is a great honour for us!
We are confident that our contribution to the global campaign "Let Ukraine Strike Back", as a result of which Ukraine received permission to strike Russian territory with long-range weapons, was as important as the joint efforts of thousands of Ukrainians around the world.
We thank the Strichka team for their tireless desire to continue the enormous work that helps Ukrainians feel part of a large global community. Recently we joined an active discussion with Strichka team members and heads of civic organisations from various countries on the concept of the campaigns for the Day of Unity on 22 January and for 24 February – the day marking 3 years since the start of the full-scale invasion.
So we invite all Ukrainians in Estonia who care to follow our announcements and join Strichka's global campaigns together, to tell the world the truth about the war in Ukraine, defend our country's interests abroad, fight disinformation and unite to support one another!
A separate community "Strichka. Estonia" has been created in the Strichka app, and each of you can become a member!
P.S. The ambassadors of the Ukrainian platform Strichka are well-known Ukrainians: volunteer Yuliia "Taira" Paievska, musician FOZZEY (of the band TNMK) and film director Oles Sanin.
In the Strichka app or web version, anyone can communicate safely, get useful advice and the help they need, and most importantly coordinate in global campaigns in support of our homeland.
The most active Ukrainians receive special rewards every month from Strichka's ambassadors and partners.
