Dear friends!
This Thursday, the Tallinn School of Music and Ballet (MUBA) will host the special event "Yellow-blue Butterflies", dedicated to Children's Protection Day, with the support and in the presence of the First Lady of Estonia, Sirje Karis.
The event is part of the "Standing with Ukraine" programme, an initiative of the film festival PÖFF | Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and the State Film Agency of Ukraine!
The event will include:
We also invite you all to join the "Yellow-blue Butterflies" initiative, launched today to draw the world's attention to the tragedy of Ukrainian children forcibly taken and abducted by the Russian authorities during the war.
The symbol of the campaign is the butterfly – an image of childhood, fragility and at the same time the strength of hope.
To date there are 19,546 reports of illegal deportations and forcible transfers of Ukrainian children by Russia.
The campaign was launched by the State Film Agency of Ukraine, FRESH PRODUCTION GROUP and the Ukrainian Project Agency. The initiators aim to collect 19,546 messages of support, so that every child receives their own butterfly with a message from the world.
If you would like to write a message to a child, follow these steps:
Your card – whether on paper or online – will definitely reach its recipient.
The organisers will turn each message into a butterfly and pass your words of support on to the children – however long it takes. Every butterfly will fly to a child to remind them: the world is waiting for their return.
A "Box of Hope" will be at the event on 20 November, so come to support our children and join the campaign!
The event will be held in Ukrainian, Estonian and English.
The film will be shown in Ukrainian with English subtitles!
