“The Mystery of the Seventh Note”: Nadija School Students Presented a Musical Performance in Tallinn

On 25 July 2026, the performance “The Mystery of the Seventh Note” was presented at the Estonian Theatre and Music Museum in Tallinn. The production was prepared by the students and teachers of the Nadija Ukrainian Sunday School during the “Living Fairy Tales” creative theatre camp.

The young actors presented a musical fairy tale about friendship, kindness and the unifying power of music. Beloved Ukrainian fairy-tale characters came to life on stage, while music, humour and the children’s sincere emotions created a warm and memorable atmosphere.

Preparing the performance gave the children valuable creative experience. They learned to work as a team, perform in front of an audience, support one another and develop their talents. The project also helped them strengthen their connection with the Ukrainian language and culture.

The project was made possible with the support of the Integration Foundation, the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia and the Nadija Ukrainian Sunday School.

More Than 25 Years of Ukrainian Education in Estonia
The history of Nadija School began in the late 1990s with a Ukrainian class established within the Prosvita cultural and educational society. The students and teachers of that class later became the foundation of the Nadija Ukrainian Sunday School operating under the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia.

For more than 25 years, the school has helped children living in Estonia study the Ukrainian language, literature, history and Ukrainian studies. Pupils also learn about Ukrainian folk art, music, songs and traditions.

Nadija is more than a school. It is a Ukrainian environment where children can make friends, develop their talents and maintain a connection with their heritage.
