We are happy to share our impressions of our amazing creative camp, held from 28 July to 1 August at the Ukrainian Sunday School Nadija Kool.
The camp brought together children aged 7 to 13 and became a real celebration of creativity, learning, teamwork and unforgettable experiences.
Over 5 days the children had a packed programme: they enjoyed active outdoor games, took part in handicraft workshops and basic theatre classes, went on trips to museums and theatres (including the puppet theatre and the Theatre and Music Museum), learned Ukrainian through games and, of course, worked hard preparing their production of "Ivasyk-Telesyk". Every day was full of new knowledge and genuine emotions!
The highlight of the camp was a theatre production based on the Ukrainian folk tale "Ivasyk-Telesyk", performed in a modern style by the participants themselves.
Together with the teachers of the "Nadiia" Sunday School, which is run by the Association, the children assigned the roles themselves, made the props and costumes, and in the end created a bright, dynamic and creative performance that left no one in the audience indifferent.
This experience was a wonderful opportunity for the children to show their talents, learn to work as a team and bring their creative ideas to life!
Of course, much of the credit goes to the school's teachers Tetiana Klymenko and Karyna Amirkhanian, as well as the deputy head Alla Inno-Yakymenko.
Without their tireless work, professionalism and love for children, the result would hardly have been so successful. So our heartfelt thanks to the whole teaching team and everyone involved in running the camp for making the summer holidays not just a good rest for the children but also a chance to realise their talents, discover their abilities and fill their lives with meaning.
