On 12 September 2026 the Nadiya Ukrainian weekend school, run by the Association, held another busy day of lessons devoted to the Ukrainian language, culture and arts.
The music lesson was a dress rehearsal for the school's performance at the Ethno Fair (Etnolaat) on 19 September in Tallinn's Town Hall Square, the annual fair of Estonia's national minorities held during the Days of National Cultures, where the school traditionally presents Ukrainian songs and customs. In the Ukrainian language lesson the children discussed the "national code" and the symbols of Ukraine and studied literal and figurative word meanings.
In the craft class pupils made greeting cards with autumn motifs, and the Ukrainian studies lesson was devoted to Ukrainian Cinema Day: solving puzzles, the children explored film genres, recalled favourite Ukrainian cartoons and talked about Ukrainian cinema's place in the world.
The school thanked the team of the Ukrainian Film Club in Estonia, launched by the Association with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia, which gives children the chance to watch Ukrainian films in their native language.
