A Christmas carol that unites hearts

Today the children's choir and bandura ensemble of the Ukrainian Sunday School "Nadiia" Nadija Kool, run by the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia, brought Christmas carols to the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia.

Traditional Ukrainian carols, Christmas melodies and the world-famous "Shchedryk" filled the Embassy with light, warmth and the true Ukrainian spirit. This is how Christmas sounds when it is carried by children's voices with love for Ukraine.

We express our deep gratitude to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia, Mr Volodymyr Boiechko, and his wife Yuliia Boiechko, as well as to the patrons from the football club FCI Levadia for the valuable gifts for the Nadiia Sunday School:

• an interactive multimedia board;
• a projector;
• a multifunction printer;
• a speaker

This modern equipment is not just hardware but new opportunities for learning, developing creativity and preserving the Ukrainian identity of our children abroad.

A few words about the school

The Ukrainian Sunday School "Nadiia" was founded in 1997 in Tallinn under the society Prosvita - Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Society in Estonia . Today it is an important part of the work of the Association of Ukrainian Organisations in Estonia and is officially registered with the Ministry of Education and Research and the Integration Foundation.

The school teaches:

• Ukrainian language
• Ukrainian studies
• music and singing

The children's choir is led by vocal teacher Karyna Amirkhanian, the bandura ensemble by Alla Inno-Yakymenko, and the teacher of language and Ukrainian studies is Tetiana Klymenko.

On behalf of the Association, we thank:

• the teachers for their dedication and sincere work;
• the parents for their trust and support;
• the pupils for their love of the Ukrainian language, song and culture;
• all our partners and friends for supporting Ukrainian children in Estonia!

Together we keep Ukraine in our children's hearts – regardless of borders.
