The Jazz Ensemble of the Orchestra of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Estonia: Music That Inspires | Viimsi

On April 14, representatives of the Association had the honor of being invited to an extraordinary evening of Ukrainian music held at the Eesti Sõjamuuseum Estonian War Museum.

The concert by the jazz ensemble of the Orchestra of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Center of Military Musical Art of the Ukrainian Navy, was a true artistic event. The ensemble, which traces its origins back to 1993 in Sevastopol, resumed its activities in Odesa after the occupation of Crimea in 2014, preserving and developing the Ukrainian military musical tradition. Today, the musicians carry out a special mission — performing for both civilians and military personnel, maintaining morale even near the front line.

The concert's program impressed with its combination of Ukrainian classics and world hits in jazz arrangements. Well-known compositions such as "Oi u luzi chervona kalyna", "Dva kolory", "Ridna maty moya", "Yak tebe ne liubyty, Kyieve miy", and many others were performed, receiving a fresh, modern sound.

We sincerely thank the organizers of this musical event: the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia for the invitation and flawless organization of the evening, and of course Meelis Kubits and the Cultural Partnership Foundation for implementing this project and specifically for their ongoing support and organization of Ukrainian cultural initiatives in Estonia.

Such events are of great significance — they not only promote Ukrainian culture but also strengthen international support and cultural diplomacy between Ukraine and Estonia.
